Our heritage
Azurea, ahead of its time ahead of its time
Azurea was founded as "Célestin Konrad SA usine de décolletage L'Azurea" in a workshop in Roches. In 1917, Azurea expands by building new premises in Moutier.
In 1939, there was a strong need for watch mechanisms, and production was in full swing. Seeing this, Azurea wanted to breathe new life into the watchmaking world and offered sub-assemblies such as garnished stems and complete barrels.
Determined to excel in its new project, the company decided to design its own production machines and set up an innovation office dedicated to this mission. Concerned with the quality of its parts, L'Azurea also creates its own gauges to control production and meet the highest microtechnical standards.

Encouraging standing
Since its earliest days, Azurea has favored verticalization of processes to gain expertise and independence. As far back as the 40s, we were producing finished assembled systems, all manufactured in-house. This mindset forged our identity, and today we remain faithful to this system, which gives us independence, quality control and continuous improvement.
Adapting to market needs
In the 70s, the arrival of Quartz hit the watchmaking world. To survive, it was necessary to redouble efforts and creativity. However, every crisis brings its own opportunities. Azurea has also been affected by this revolution, leveraging its skills in microtechnology and expanding into sectors other than watchmaking. Our ability to diversify according to market conditions and needs has enabled us to build a strong group of companies specialized in their fields and sectors of activity.
Continuing to innovate
Our commitment to customer satisfaction drives us to continually improve our production facilities. A desire for innovation that is part of our DNA led to the creation of a research and development team. Today, this heritage lives on, thanks to the many engineers and technicians who make up our industrialization, industrial performance and innovation departments.
Growing up and preparing for the future
Today, the Azurea Group employs 250 people across its five business sectors. The automatic lathes used to produce turned parts have given way to state-of-the-art CNC machines. Determined to position itself as a leader in its various markets, the Azurea Group has made it its mission to study the technologies of tomorrow, with the aim of always being one step ahead.
